How to Write a Solid Job Post

The Great Resignation is in full swing, it seems like everyone is hiring right now. The market for good talent is fiercely competitive and it’s important to have the right job post in front of the right people.

We’re currently fully-staffed at goBRANDgo! and we want to share some tips for job posts to help you find the right people to join your company. Check the full goBRANDgo! Marketing Minute video here.

Must-Haves for a Great Job Post:

Accurate Job Title

When creating this, ask yourself “what are people searching for who would fit this job?” You might have to test a few different job titles to find what sticks and attracts the right candidates to the job.

A “Day in the Life” at This Job

Prospects should be able to read this job description and imagine themselves in that position or know that it’s not for them. It’s important to paint an accurate picture of what you’re expecting of this person and the qualities that are needed to be successful.

Company Description and Values

Why should someone work for you? Remember the market is competitive, so this is basically an ad for why a prospect should choose you instead of a competitor. Make sure you list your core values and anything else that might help someone decide if they’re a good cultural fit for your organization.
